Sunday afternoon I was in Boca Raton florida, on Glades Road west of 441, when I came to a Black/Black top vert with most of the right front fender removed, on the other side of the street was what looked like a Carolla with the whole front crumpled back to the windshild, with a very old women standing outside of the car, looked like the carolla may have come out of the side street and hit the Corvette as the hit was direct in front, both fenders and the hood, my daughter said I was just taking the side of the Vet driver as our conversation continued, I felt sick about seeing such a beautiful car damaged, and maybe by no fault of the Corvette driver. I hope that no one was hurt in the Vett, looked like the driver of the Carolla was fine standing outside of her car.

Reason: .
I almost got creamed head-on yesterday driving up a narrow bridge going over a train station in PA, when an idiot high school kid came barreling over the opposite direction heading right for me. I hit the horn and kept it honking until miraculously he swerved over to his lane at the last possible second.
He was driving while texting with his right hand held up high in the air.
I really hate people driving and talking on their cell phones, let alone the idiots who are texting as well. I hope the governments outlaw this before it's too late for more and more people.
I had one flip me the bird the other day. Never looked up as I honked the horn to keep her from swerving into my lane. Flipped me off and just kept texting. I really had to get control to keep from running her down and having a little chat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your concern, I'm doing fine, the vette saved my life and now I am looking to buy one of my own. There is about $9000 worth of damage, the elderly woman's insurance company is paying for the whole thing. There were a lot of witnesses who called 911 and told the police exactly what happened, came to my aid, etc. The Boca Raton police did a fantastic job handling the entire situation. I feel extremely lucky to be alive, my auto mechanic said I'm very lucky. The seat belt saved my life, along with the front right rim being the point of impact and taking most of the damage. I would like to post some pictures here as soon as I figure out how (I'm new here).
Glad your OK. I'm sure your father feels the same way.

The first picture shows the stop sign she ran. She told the officers she "didn't see it"

We call those ones the "Fog People", they drive/walk around in a fog, uncomprehending what is happening to them or around them.
Looks like the Corvette faired better than the Toyota. I thought the Corvette would show much more damage than the pictures. Of course you can't tell how much damage is really done until it is taken apart and checked. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt.
Thanks everyone! Her car was a 2006 Acura TL, I'm not too sure if it still qualifies as one
The vette took the hit like a champ; it could have been a different story if she hit just a little bit to the left or right (figure I was doing 40, she was probably doing at least 40 when she t-boned me, she came up FAST, could have been much much worse) but I'm incredibly impressed with the Corvette. Those are my tire marks in the road in the first picture, I ended up by the sidewalk in the foreground of the picture. The damage is a little more extensive than the pictures reveal, you have to admit it's a gorgeous car, even with pieces of it falling off
Nah but seriously folks, thanks again for the well-wishes, feeling extremely lucky and happy to be alive and unhurt.
Glad your OK... I have some relatives that live very close to Glades and 441... I see some crazy driving when we're down that way....
The Vette doesn't look to bad, for a 40 mph Tbone. You must have almost got out of her way.
You might make a deal with your dad to take his repaired Vette, and let him get a new one.
I would certainly recommend you at least make the offer.

I am glad you are OK
Cars can be fixed, human life can't.
I have always felt that driving tests should be administered yearly after a certain age, to make sure the person is still capable of driving.
My neighbor across the street is a retired Marine, and at 92 still looks like a 60 year old, and drives .
It's not how old you are but how your age is affecting your ability to drive.
Obviously, this lady's ability to drive is
