Ive had other year corvettes but this is my first C6. I already put magnaflows and nice tips on it and swapped out the non bose stereo with a pionees AVIC-910xb navigation unit. The first thing is it is really stiff over bumps,so much that is literally throws the car over the road, if you hit a bump on a turn it will lift the car and put you down a couple feet over. I've had some pickups do this but do not think its right. Also, if the passenger window is down or the top is off the seatbelt smacks the seat back and forth in the wind really loud???? What gas do you run? On regular or mid grade I get a knocking sound under a load. On super its gone. Any tips I need to know? Any easy bolt ons that matter? I actaully took over someones lease on swapalease, Its my 3rd one there....the payment was 680...30 months left....and the guy gave me 6500 to take it over. Cant beat that! Thanks alot
Not sure if you're really serious with your question about fuel, but giving you the benefit of the doubt, the engine compression ratio of the C6 engines, both LS2 & LS3, require premium grade fuel.....93 octane is best although 91 will do in a pinch. You don't say what year or options you have & your profile is also silent. If Z51 with the Goodyear Supercar tires, yes, the ride will be very stiff & the "skipping" sensation you described is real. Main cause is the very stiff sidewalls of the OEM GY run flats. I had the same situation on my '05 & swapped out to Nitto Invos (non-runflat).....the difference is amazing. All the same traction & cornering energy of the GY's but none of the stiffness. Beyond the exhaust, which you've already done, other mods all depend upon your driving style & pocketbook. Headers, air intakes, after market shocks, turbo, etc, etc. But mainly, enjoy!

2006 owner's manual, page 5-5. I'd quote the pages for your model year of C6 if you had it in your profile.
Gasoline Octane
If your vehicle has the 6.0L V8 engine (VIN Code U), use premium unleaded gasoline with a posted octane
rating of 91 or higher. You may also use regular
unleaded gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher, but
your vehicle’s acceleration may be slightly reduced,
and you may notice a slight audible knocking noise,
commonly referred to as spark knock. If the octane is
less than 87, you may notice a heavy knocking
noise when you drive. If this occurs, use a gasoline
rated at 87 octane or higher as soon as possible.
Otherwise, you might damage your engine. If you are
using gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher and you hear
heavy knocking, your engine needs service.
Yeah,yeah...lol, I should have known about the fuel grade. I had a 2000 and always ran 87 in it with no knocking or anything. Sorry for the question. Thanks.
