Default Window problem

I am having a problem with my drivers side window not going all the way up. It is stopping about 2 inches from the top. This occurs when you lower and then try to raise the window all of the way up. Even after closing the door it does not go up all of the way so therefore it cannot index either. It is the drivers side only. This problem developed after I removed and replaced my battery. I have not tried to disconnect and reconnect the battery again. I thought that I would ask here first. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jay

DID YOU RE INDEX THE WINDOWS?
get in put in accessory mode, hold both switches up for 3 seconds, wait a couple seconds then hold both switches up again for 3 seconds.

It sounds like he can't re-index the window because he can't find any way to make it go all the way up.

The battery cable disconnect might be the next step.

What year car are you working on?

Coupe or convertible?

I don't know if any of the above will make a difference, but it can't hurt.

Maybe try indexing it DOWN...in other words, put window down and then hold for the three seconds twice...just a thought...

Default Window

Jim you are correct. The window will not go all of the way up in order to reindex. I will try some of these suggestions to see if they work but if not I will disconnect the battery again and start from scratch. It must be something simple because it worked perfectly prior to the battery disconnect. Thanks everyone for the help.

Default problem solved

I disconnected the battery and let it set for 15 minutes and reconnected it and all is well. Thanks to everyone for the input.
