I did not think tools are required. I have never had a break down. I maintain all of my vehicles at home in my garage, not on the road. If you do have a break down, chances are that you may not the tool you need to do the repair on the road anyway.
Should you have a breakdown, I think the only tool you need, is the phone number for Chevrolet Roadside Assistance. 1-800-CHEV-USA
Have a nice trip. Enjoy the ride.

[QUOTE=vettenut;1571456645]Planning on a major trip - what tool kit is suggested & from where?[/QUOTE
It never hurts to take a screwdriver, vice grips, an 8" crescent wrench, spare fuses, a roll of duct tape and some hand towels/rags. chances are if you cant fix it with those tools, you will need road side assistance anyway. Also a AAA card works like a miracle tool kit. I have found my C6 to be excedingly reliable on long road trips so I would not be overly concerned, Just take preventive measures before you leave, like checking your oil and coolant levels, belts and hoses in good condition?? tire pressure correct, that sort of thing and you will be fine. Have a safe trip
Glass cleaner, Micro towels, jack pucks, Credit card and list of Chev dealers. If in need of a tow tell AAA you need a flat bed and some extra planks to get it on.

I also cary a $5.00 tire repair kit and a $15.00 12 volt compressor from Canadian Tire.
