I always give a wave to a passing Vette driver!! I sometimes give the pointer finger #1 sign or usually a full hand wave. Just like should Harley Davidson riders!! I'm just curious what how others feel about this and what do you do when you pass another Vette? Thanks surf!!!
I waive at every vette but I almost always get avoided by older vette drivers and some c5ers for some strange reason even when I pull up right next to them and try to be friendly. I know for sure they see me. I'm 34 by the way. I still will wave regardless if I get a waive back. I'm doing my duty.

I'm 34 also but look like I am in my 20's. I tend to get the wave from fellow C6'ers but less than half of C5's return my wave. In the last few days I had no return wave from a young guy in a C5 and an older guy in a C5. I guess the C5 folk need to have a meeting and decide to start waving to the C6 crowd.
I always wave but must admit the low amount of returns is making this tradition a bit of a bore. I am leaning towards letting them wave and I will return it.

I must live in a good WAVE area!! Was out cruising yesterday for 4 hours and saw 9 other vettes! Had a 100% wave rate and many waved first. It was a very good day for the.. "WAVE"!!
When I first got the C6, I told my fiance about the tradition of the waive. I told her it was a sign of fellowship with other vette owners. She understood as the same waive tradition is alive with motorcycles and I also ride.
Well... we waived (both of us) to the first ten or so vettes that we passed didn't get a single waive back. Kami decided that was that and no longer waives. I still do.... I don't care if anyone else does.
i wave with a V , some return waves and some dont.
My husband makes fun of me because I'm SOOOO into my vette and the vette community. He said - so, do you have a secret handshake, etc? He knows about the wave but wondered if it was in the shape of a "V". LOL! I told him that I couldn't tell because if I did I'd have to kill him..............
We always have new members so what is the problem with answering the call. This is not the only thread that comes up consistently. It must mean the people are interested in it.

I for one always wave and get a 50/50 response.
I always wave if I see the other 'Vette, which I occasionally don't in time. If they wave back, great. If not, it's not going to change my waving.
Then every once in awhile, it's really good. Pulled up next to a pretty lady in a C6 Z06, and I looked over and waved. Got a BIG smile and a wave back. Made my afternoon!
