Default nav disk question

Hello all,

As this is only my second post, i will mention that I have already done a search on this and could not find anything to help.

I bougt my first Vette 4 days ago and so far I am loving it. I read on this forum that the Nav disk were in the 6 version. Well I checked my disk and it is verson One (1) . The GM website wants 199 for it, but it is out of stock, the local dealer wants $325 and they will have to order it.

Is there a better, cheaper, way of getting at least a version 5 disk? or am i out of luck all together??

$325.00 id the highest I have heard of. Somebody will usually pop up and offer to send-sell and older version to you. There is a difference in Ver 1 and Ver 5, but not enough IMHO to go out and pay $325. Ver 4, and 5 have 2 disks instead of the 1 that Ver 1 has.

Give it a few more months when more folks get their version 6 update. Then post a thread asking for a version 5 disc.

When I got my first free update, I gave away my old disc to someone here on the forum. When version 6 is available, I will order my last free update and will probably give my old one away again.

BTW, congrats on your first corvette.

BTW, BTW, fill out your profile. It can help people answer your questions.

You can find the older versions including 5 on ebay. Pretty cheap just check seller feedback before purchase.

I also gave away my older versions. As suggested by RadarP3C, wait a couple of months. You will probably get it for little to nothing from folks on here.
