removing door lock panels

removing door lock panels
Looking at some carbon fiber door lock panels. Does the whole door panel have to come off? It appears that this is the case in order to gain access to remove these of course in addition to the door handle on the passenger side. Did a search and could not find anything specific on this. Thanks in advance Steve
