today I am driving home after going to the movies.
I notice a small yellowish light behind the visor on the passenger side. It stays on until I kill the engine. It is located right by the mechanism to lock the top down. but I undo and redo the locking mechanism and it has no effect on this light !!

Anybody know what this is for ???
It's a console light and it shines a very small light on the gear shift and ash tray area. Next time it's night, cover it and you will see where it shines. Some of the guys change them to LED's so they will be brighter.

It's where you put the crystals for the warp drive.
That is the light that the goverment install to keep tab on you, that little black box that you cannot find that keep up with your driving habit and also it is a little camera and speaker so they can listen to what you say and watch what you do in your car. Ha ha

My wife calls it the Mood Light...she seems to get turned on every time it comes on at night....I really do like it a lot!!!!!! And the mood light isn't bad either...changing the bulb to make it brighter, HUH?
If cars only came with little books to explain everything.
Some owners don't seem to read the owner's manual enough.
However, this particular item doesn't seem to be in the 2005 owner's manual. At least it's not in the manual where it is for the 2006 manual and it doesn't use the word "ambient" to describe it.

Thats what works for my wife and if it goes out you had better head to the dealership immediatly to get it fixed or her mood might change.
