Corvette Acronymns...
I see a lot of acronymns that come along with owning this C6. The first one that comes to mind are transmission types. I see A4, A6, etc, and just was wondering what different types of transmissions there are and what the acronymns are when people are throwing those out. I have a 4 speed automatic in my 05 Vert, so is that as simple as saying my tranny is an "A4"?
Are there any other acronymns I should be aware of so I can understand what people are talking about??

But as to transmission...yours is an A4, which is a GM 4L80E. The A6 is a 6L80E...started in 2006. MN6 is the 6 speed manual with the Ratios from the C6 and Z06. MZ6 is the manual with the ratios from the Z51 option. These ratios are all lower, except for fourth gear which is the same at 1:1.
