I got new seat covers that look great from PFYC.com. There are clips & straps that are to go rear to front under the seats to be connected. I find this more than a challenge. Ther is no room under the seats. I tried a peice of wire but it bent and would not pass from front to back. Has anyone had these and know the trick?

Reason: Pics wanted
Nice looking seat cover ~ I haven't attempted to install a set... given the tolerances/limited space ~ it may be easier just to unbolt the seat/rail to attach the clips/straps
Nice idea - but I am not a mechanic so I am not comfortable unbolting the seats.
It's not hard. Only four bolts and several connectors depending on whether you have side airbags or not. There are a couple of how to threads on the forum as well.
I went to a hardware store and purchased a small wood dowel. Then I used electrical tape to tape the clip on and fished it under the seat. It was fairly easy!

Vette nut the best way to install these would be to take the seats off I would think the seat covers would fit tighter and you would have more pull on the straps that way. I am planning on ordering the same covers in simulated leather so please post pictures.
The problem with fishing around under the seat is the electrical connectors. It is very difficult to get the straps tight AND you may get one or more of the connectors caught in the strap and put too much stain on the wires/connectors. I took my seats out and got the cover straps nice and tight ... allows for a much smoother fit.

What color did you get? I am wondering if the black or charcoal amtch up with the black of the interior?
