I love my, and all, Corvettes, but that is probably the best mod I've seen recently. Just an idea...take the picture from the street so you could see the flag better...sorry, it seems lately that I must find fault in everything, Life's a bitch! I must say that the driveway looks great though. Nothing better than a two Corvette household, unless it's three, four, etc...

With those two Vette's it has to be pretty damn hard to stay home and do landscaping on a nice day, someone is doing a nice landscaping job.
You may find yourself finding other uses for your flag pole as well.
Mine has turned into the main monument for my Dogs that have passed away, and has a few Granite grave stones at its base.
When the snow fly’s and Christmas is around the bend, I take down the flag and attach a light up Star to the line and pull it to the top of the poll, along with a 25' line of Christmas Lights.
