Not to hijack thread or get too far afield from OP's question, but I don't think the omission of Goodyear All Season (EMT) from tirerack's listing for C6 Corvette is a slipup or out of stock question.

If you look at the specs for the two (or three) tires, the A/S is a W-rated tire. And yes, that means it's limited to a recommended top speed of 168 mph.

The Goodyear F1 Supercar (EMT) or non-Supercar tires (GS-2 EMT) are both Z rated tires, or up to 186 mph. These are the tires supplied to base and Z51-suspension Corvettes.

The easy way to understand this is that, obviously, a tire made to withstand a higher sustained speed is constructed differently, different even from the same or similar tire with a lower speed/load rating.

Granted, probably all or most of us will not ever go that fast, but that is the recommended specification for this car by the car manufacturer---not the exact tire brand, but the recommended speed and load rating. To recommend anything less, (except for a dedicated, winter-driving, snow tire) is not something a company, such as tirerack, with exposed liability is going to do. Not today, and not after the debacle of the "Explorer/Firestone."

When I pull up the Corvette tires on the Tire Rack website, there are a series of criteria along the left side of the page. Included there are tire speed ratings, and the default setup gave speeds down to something like 149 mph. So I don't think the Goodyear A/S were omitted due to speed rating.

Something else is happening but I'm too lazy to research it. The Goodyears were the only All Season runflat they had available for our C6 Z51 back in 2006, Tire Rack recommended them, and they work well for us. But I save the high speed blasts for the Supercar tires.

Neither are Blizzaks, which I was very interested in buying...

That's probably more of what I'll run into here, salting of the roads. I have to cross a pretty good sized bridge every day to get into work, so I'm sure it will get salted often once the temperatures drop.

My husband drives a 2001 Prowler and thinks I'm crazy to drive the vette in the winter... But, he keeps saying "it's your car" lol...

No I have the SC tires with the Z51 package. Yes they don't have great traction when the temperatures are low but what do you expect for summer performance tires. The fact is the car is driveable but don't expect it to perform like a 4X4 because it won't. High snow will stop it and if the snow and ice removal is poor in your area you may want to reconsider. Our roads are cleaned quickly therefore I drive the car without a problem unless a blizzard is coming.

You could be correct: I just plugged in to the Goodyear tire site (See: http://www.goodyeartires.com/goodyea...9&sidewall=VSB). They seem to recommend not only the All Season but several other (Goodyear) tires as well.
