Battery check reminder
After washing the Vette the other day, I wiped down the engine bay (God forbid if I let it get dusty!) While looking around, I noticed the OEM AC Delco battery (I have an '05) was starting to leak a bit around the top edge. I got a new one ASAP. The moral of the story....make sure you check the battery, especially as they get near the end of their projected lifespan. I had no symptoms, just a bit of corrosion around the post.

I did the same.. mine was acting fine, no leaks, it looked new, but being that I race the car 2 times a month, and run the fan for 5-10 min at a time with the engine OFF.. I bought an Optima Yellow Top...
I kept my original battery in the garage, & put it on the battery tenter about every other month.... (just in case) at least I'll have an emergency one at home...
