Also, I'm well aware of how velocity affects force but there is a big difference between driving aggressively and being an idiot.
I should not have called you irresponible. I asked the OP if he was testing his limits on the street. He hasn't responded so I'll take that as a yes. He's been to driving school so now he thinks he's ready for Le Mans. Too many on the forum advocating agressive street driving. Nothing good will come of this. There are plenty of venues to safely test the cars limits.

Crashing. Thats my limit. So far I've stayed within it. I've driven the entire western US. "Conditions" vary dramatically, which has a direct influence on "reasonableness." Love to drive the 'vette!

Sounds good to me.

There are honestly no free venues to safely test the limits. I think this is what turns a lot of people off. Racing properly is expensive.

I've had LOTS of other cars where I have gone WOT plenty of times.

As to my Corvette, I can honestly say that I have never gone completely WOT. I have also never gone past 6000 rpm. I've never had to.

Not free but cheap. Dragstrip is usually about $25 and you can run all day. Autox is $30 to $40 with no worries about car damage or tickets. I went to an autox today and was hitting over 100mph in the straight sections. Lost it at one point and was sliding sideways at 50mph. Had a blast.
