Default does Zaino get old?

I had a bottle of Z2 and the ZFX hardener on the shelf in my garage
and used it last weekend. it was very hard to take off. I put on two
coats. that was enough work. I don't remember it being that hard to remove. It is about 4 years old.

Same issue, but my wax is only a couple of months old.
It seems to be harder to get off than it use too.
Before Zaino combined there Z1 and Z2 it was so easy to put on and take off, 2-3 coats were easy to do in one day. Now two coats is difficult to do, it doesn't seem to dry completely and it leaves smudges.

I have stopped using it because of that reason. It seems to absorb water or separate. much easier to go get something from the local store.

Yes, but I thought I remembered seeing the suggested age on the bottle. Approximately 3 years used to be the advertised life.

Have you sent Sal an e-mail? He'll respond personally. I have some 2+ year Z2-PRO and it works just fine, I mixed up ONE OUNCE last week with some ZFX and as usual I got THREE COATS out of it.

The key is not to let it FREEZE in your garage during the winter (for us folks in up north) I store mine in the basement.

But 4 years is probably too old for ANY wax/polish.

Also, if you live in a warm climate, it is not good to leave Zaino in a hot garage. I had a bottle of ZFX to evaporate. IMHO storing in a closet inside the house is the way to go.

Z-10 For optimum results use before 2 years.
Z-12 For optimum results use before 2 years.
Z-14 For optimum results use before 2 years.

True, I agree and thought maybe I was getting soft.

My last few applications I have rolled the car out of the garage to let it sit in the sun for 30 minutes or so to set up and dry.

It does seem to come off a little easier this way.

they did not combine z1 and z2.

they offer zfx in lieu of z1... you still need z1 if dont use zfx.

everything has a shelf life.

you should store your zaino at house hold ambient .. cold is its enemy. if it freezes, you are screwed.

i thought zfx was only supposed to be used a little at time when you add it to z-2...like one coat, then mix a little more to do another coat.

correct,..and z5pro. it takes the place of z1... that has to be done before you begin the zaino process... and after 10 coats of polish, another coat of z1.. but zfx is far superior.. not only does it add more gloss and durability, but it accelerates the cure to instant.... allowing you to put on 3 coats of polish in one afternoon. its on his site. and it works..i do it all the time.

I don't know if Zaino gets old, but it sure does get old doing all the crap you have to do to put it on and take it off. Here's my opinion, try NXT 2.0 and get the same results with much less work!

You only have to do all the work (dawn, clay, multiple coats, ZFX) the first time you put it on. Which you should do with all waxes/sealants for first application anyway. Once it is on, it takes no longer than anything else to put on a fresh coat. People put on too much, like they are putting on regular wax, and that creates headaches.

all the crap?

I can put on a coat of Z5 pro, in 15 minutes.

Take off the Z5, add z6, add z8, all in another 45 mins.

Thats 1 hour to get results like these...

So where does "all the crap" come into play?

That's odd, I don't find using ZAINO any more difficult than the goop you can buy at Wally World. I'm now using their new All-In-One polish. It's real hard to use so I'll summarize.

1. Buy on-line
2. Pick up box from mail box 48 hours later
3. Wash car
4. Dry car
5. Remove cap from Zaino AIO
6. Place a quarter size dollop in applicator
7. Apply to surface of cool car
8. Wait 15 to 30 minutes (good time for a potty or beer break)
9. Use soft bath towel to remove
10. Stand back and admire depth of finish and gloss

I'm guessing all these complicated steps and processes confuse some folks.
