Yes since I think the 08 & 09 air filter is the same basic design as the Z06 LS7 for all years. Disconnect the MAF wiring harness. Disconnect the air bridge flex section from the throttle body. The rest of the air bridge pops off the two pegs on top of the radiator beauty piece. Lift the air filter body and air bridge off the car in one piece. With this off the car, you can now see the power core design of the air filter.

I changed my 2006 LS7 air filter earlier this year. My son has an 08 LS3 coupe. The air filter and air bridge seem to be the same design as my LS7 if not exactly. The LS7 air filter is most easily replaced by removing the entire filter housing/air bridge from the engine compartment starting at the throttle body connection clamp. It is pretty easy. The hardest part is figuring out how to correctly disconnect the MAF wiring harness connector at the air bridge without being a gorilla and breaking it.

There are two air filters, the other one is for the cabin.
The air filter for the cabin is located under the hood above the glove compartment. To remove the plastic cover, just push the three (3) wire clips down and remove the cover and then pull the cabin air filter out (note the flow direction of the filter on removing).

Not stupid at all ~ in stead of figuring out how to change the filter... many guys on the forum just trade their Vettes in on a new one!
(thats what I did)

I'm not anywhere near the 50,000 miles recommended by the manual - I don't know about others but I get a lot of sand in my air filters so ocassionally I just tap the sand out. Next Summer I might change them out.
