I just replaced my console cover with a padded leather one from Southern (very satisfied); however, the plastic latch part that allows you to lock it is broken. The Chevy dealer (stealer?) says $42 for the about 2 inch by 2 inch piece of plastic. Does anyone know if it can be attained elsewhere? Thanks in advance. What a car! What a country!
Cmdrzero, You know, I think we can help you out on this. I've replaced my console cover with another and have the latch assembly still on the original/factory piece. Just pm your post address and we'll get it on it's way. LennyG

Thanks!!! The only problem is I don't understand how to "pm my post address." By the way it is the little piece of plastic that has a small spring attached to it and it fits into the console cover. It is lifted a bit to open the console. Thanks again.
What he is saying is to click on his id in his post to you. Select the option "Send a private message". A message box will open and allow you to record a pm (private message). Just put in your mailing address and submit the message.
Sorry to revive an old thread but my center console lid latch catch just broke off and I could use a little help finding the correct replacement part number for just the latch in CASHMERE. I have been given 19179702 but I don't think it's correct due to the price. It's just a $2 piece of plastic by golly and this thread shows it clearly is nothing requiring a complete cover swap to the tune of $200. It doesn't appear than anyone confirmed that 11 is the correct item in the picture.
I'm very gentle with my equipment so I am hoping that with this and my already replaced glove box latch, I might be good for a few decades...
