ECM has learning mode???

ECM has learning mode???
I have been reading on the Solstice forum about how the ECM has a learning mode and people are finding out after the fact that they do mods, only to have the computer learn it back to limit torque, etc. Is this only on the turbo Solstice or has anyone heard of this on other GM cars like the vette?

ECM's do in fact "learn" certain things.Like if you put a VARARAM on your vette,the ecm will adjust for added flow.I'm no mechanic or whatever they call mechanic's nowadays,but I've been around long enough to learn this.
No clue about any solstice,turbo or otherwise.
