Does anyone here have any experience using this system with the C6? It looks promising. Also, does it have to be connected to the high-beams, or will any switched 12-volt source work?

At first I thought you were asking about the "Flash-to-Pass" feature on the C6 high beams. This causes the high beams to flash several times when you pull the turn signal level toward you.
But I think you're asking about a garage-door opener that operates using the high-beam switch: http://www.f2ptechnologies.com/
I'd worry that the "Flash-to-Pass" feature would cause the "Flash2Pass" system to send multiple signals to the garage-door opener (one signal for each high-beam flash).
If so, then the garage door might start to open, then stop, then start, then stop... it might never open!
Alternately, it seems like any 12-volt source will do the job. Maybe someone with experience will chime in. (Or you could just ask the manufacturer. )

It appears it would work from any switched 12 volt supply. The transmitter only has 2 wires so it is simply looking for 12VDC on those wires to send the radio signal. How that 12v gets there is irrelevant.
