Folks, I just picked up my car today, and did not notice this issue until it got dark. My third brake light glows all the time. When you hit the brake it lights up like normal, but otherwise, you can see it is somewhat powered all the time. I found that if I pull fuse 56, the ecm/TCM/Easy Key MOdule, then the light goes out.

Does anyone know what it might be?
Thanks
Congrats on the new car. Someone here will know. It's a great place.
Corrosion in the wiring harness plug near the taillights....reported here before....easily fixed with a good cleaning of the plug....are you in a humid area of the country???

That would be my guess also. Or possibly a loose gound connection.
I had the same thing, except when I pulled the fuse the light did NOT go out.
Went to dealer and they found the connector/wiring had corroded and fused together with something (I dont recall what) supplying constant low current voltage.

If you're going to DIY, it might be a good time for your first mod..............Painted spoiler/3rd brake light housing and/or one using LED's.
You guys were spot on, the connector for the tail lights appears to be the source. I unplugged it, cleaned it up, and put it back togethor, and we are all better. Thanks guys!

One on One time with the Vette
Just think what the dealer could have screwed up for such a simple fix.
