Hey Michael! So - are you going to buy a GS instead of your dad's '05 vert ?
Nah, One of these days I need to stop living in an apartment complex. I'm concerned that if I did purchase his 05 it might get broken into where I live. I guess I can always rent a storage unit though!

Yeah - you need to buy a house first.
You don't have to own a Corvette to be member here. You just need to be an enthusiast
Isn't the "hand built" just more GM advertizing hype?
How is assembled by one person any better than assembled by groups of people and robots on an assembly line? The LS7 (and LS3 dry sump) are not blueprinted, balanced, ported, polished, gasket matched or assembled from picked parts.
At least robots don't get hangovers or have bad days because of personal problems.

I toured the Wixon Engine build center a few year's ago, and met my ZO-6's engine builder. Didn't really see anything special there. Mostly careful attention to bolt torque tightening and fastener paint marking. No piston ring gap check's or cam degreeing. It's a simple bolt up assembly, but done very slow and carefully. Each tech only assemble's two engine's a day. Not sure of the GS's engine builder name tag, but after four hour's of woking on it, bettin' it does. Cadillac V series and ZR-1 engine's are built there, too. Really good bunch of guy's(in my case gal) working over there.
Thanks. Straight from the horse's mouth. I was not aware that the GS LS3 dry sump engine was built at Wixom. That being the case, I would expect the builder's nameplate on it as well.

When your Z seems kinda 'cranky' for a few days every month…now you know why.
