Default Help Please??

Hi,

For some reason, I forgot to put the car in drive (automatic). Now I can't get into the car, codes are coming up all over in the DIC. The remote will not work. The remote will not let me in the trunk either. Any help would be appreciated??

Thanks, Jerry

Use the key to get in your hatch. The key pulls out of your fob. Key hole is above the rear plate. Door release cable is on the left wheel well inside the hatch in front of the fuel door release.

Then use the plastic lanyard pull on the drivers side fenderwell to open the driver door. Be prepared to have to re-charge the battery if the car was left in gear for any length of time.

Suspect you mean you neglected to put it in "Park." But do what the posters above have suggested.

Peace, out.

A low battery in the C6 can make everything go crazy, electrically. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, then charge it overnight, then re-connect. Index the windows and you will be fine.

You need to get it charged, not jumped...unless jumping just to get it home to a charger.

Everyone should try using the key -- some are difficult to get out of the FOB, and sometimes the lock is tough to turn at first.

Cheap insurance: Keep a spare key in your wallet. Go any place that makes car keys... tell 'em to use key blank B106, should cost about $5.
