Had the GM bra on our 2005 .... 10000 miles, no damage
SL color matched on our 2007 Z06 .... 21000 miles later, not damage, and bra is still in great shape...
To prevent damage you must keep your nose and inside of the bra clean and remove if it gets wet. I Rejex the paint which may be one of the secrets in no-damage.
