Throttle sensor error

TPS replacement is not as simple as it was in the past. It is no longer a $30 part you screw on to the throttle body. Now GM only "services the part" as an entire $200+ throttle body. The TPS clips to the throttle body, and it can be interchanged, but it is not sold separately. Go figure.
That is the way it was on the Tahoe...assume it is similar on the LS engines with drive by wire...
Bottom line, the replacement throttle body (complete w/ new TPS potentiometer) fixed the SES ("Service Engine Soon") light problem I was having on the Tahoe.
You can always reset it (the SES) as a "quick fix", I did myself a couple of times, but you will likely find the SES comes on more frequently as the TPS ages and goes from bad to worse, throwing the SES light and code P0121 I seem to recall?) more and more often, until it goes from an every couple months type deal to a daily deal when the TPS is near shot.
Good luck.
