This could be a CA issue as we do have some sensitive pumps with the vapor recovery hoses (not always maintained either). I can fill up full speed if I keep the pump handle up high and the nozzle low. That must make me a freak'n genius.
But I think it is the pumps because my other car is alot older different make and model and pumps act the same way.
Yet other stations pumps work fine.
Once I do get it filled I can usually add 1 more gallon to get it to the top of filler pipe maxed out.
I've had this happen a few times where it wouldn't fill and kept shutting off, even at the slowest setting. I just move to another pump in the station and it then fills normally. The thing to keep in mind is never top it off because it always spills. Once that pump stops, don't put another drop in or you'll be stepping in fuel.
Thanks for your input. Seems like when it's all said and done, positioning the nozzle down with the handle upwards does the trick for me... So far.. I feel better in knowing now that it's not strictly a Corvette issue.. Some of the responses to this thread would indicate that members have had similar problems with other types vehicles..
