The procedure you are remembering was from the C5. You could hold down the options button and press the fuel button four times to bring up a list of your DTC's.
That feature was disabled in the C6. The only way to read the codes is with a code reader. Find yourself a CAN BUS capable OBDII reader and you will be all set. No other user accessible way to get at the codes.
So today I get the check coolant level light... It's been a while since I have seen that one...rather annoying...

Do you guys have an Advanced Auto Parts near you? They will check and reset your codes for free. No I dont work for them. I mentioned them on another thread as well 'cause theyre the closest auto parts store to me.
I changed the spark plugs and wires after getting the code P0207. I currently still have the CEL on and a code reader. Do I need to clear the code in order to know if I fixed the problem or should the CEL light go out on it’s own?

To answer your question, the code is for injector 7 control circuit, and you will need a code reader to clear the CEL
