Did you not do the doors also? I did the doors and that helped even more with the road noise. I have zero problems with interior/console heat since installing the Madvettes kit.

I hope you did it under the console as well, that made a significant reduction in heat coming up for me. If not, It should be simple to just do that part since you've already done the complicated stuff.

How much noise reduction do you think you got out of just installing this kit?

its hard to say? once i took off the runflats 90% of the road noise was gone. The only noise i hear now is thru the windows which not much a guy can do there, lol. i will say it helped the accoustics of the stereo. And its gotta help with heat,,,

Well, i just cant help getting out the air tools to speed things up, lol. That and i only put half the stuff back in and left all the screws out I seem to tackle these types of things with the same attitude I had when i was teching for a living. Faster its done the more ya make. A few projects now i wish i would have done slower or got one of my kids to help me,,,,would be interesting and i am always looking for something to do,,,,A.D.D.

I don't want to hijack this thread but I have a question if I may:

I notice you have an asymmetrical lift i.e. the rear lift arms are longer than the front lift arms allowing the doors to open more freely when in the lift bay. I too have a similar lift.

The problem with my lift is the rear longer arms are too long for the short C6 wheelbase - they hit the rear tires when I try to swing them in place. I had to purchase shorter arms (like the front ones) in order for the arms to clear the rear wheels.

Did you encounter this problem at all with your lift?

Thanks,

MG...

YEP, Ran into same issues. What i do is dont pull the car up as far. The windshield is close to even or there abouts with the 2 posts. It doesnt look right (not pulling the car up as far) but the engine being up front and the fact the asymetrical lifts are designed for it its no big deal. I have to reallly center the car (have a mirror in the the front wall to watch for center) and once you have it dialed in mark the floor or a leg on the lift with the "C" of the "corvette" on your door sill. this way the next time you need it all you do is center off the mirror and pull up to the "C". good luck ,paul

You do realize that if you were to throw out the 4 extra sets of golf clubs then you would have more space for your car stuff....right?

I put the kit in about six months ago. Do one thing at a time. Start with both doors. When they are done, do the main cabin. when that is finished tackle the back end....be patient and the job will be OK. Had good customer service from this vendor. Noise reduction very good but heat problem was so, so. I later installed E-2 Engineering heat blanket on tunnel plate...that really helped. Any question, contact vendor they were very helpful. Be sure to install heat blanket under center console this was not pictured.

Glad you got the kit installed with no issues, and you got it done in the same time I do it in. Yes, I do use power tools as well...

Thanks for the feedback!!!

Have you tried to call him at his shop? His number is 615-907-8125. That is usually the best way to contact him. I've noticed that he hasn't been able to be on the forum as much as in the past.

His shop is local and I drop by on occasion. Great guy and a corvette enthusiast second to none. He will give you the shirt off his back. He has had some personal life experiences lately that has slowed him down a little. Don't we all sometimes? I do know that he has had a terrible time with delays from the manufacturer of the insulation material that he uses for his kits. He has considered other manufactures, but he hasn't been satisfied with anything else for his product. All this and last month's great response from his group buy on his kit has really taken it's toll on his mostly one man operation. Occasionally he does get some help; heck, I've rolled up my sleeves and cut out some of the insulation kits a few times. But I don't have the skill set to help with his vettebins and partitions.

From some of the posts on other threads (if you do a search) from members that have actually been to his shop for installs, you'll see that he really cares about his customers and products, but life hits him just like the rest of us.

Again, the best way to contact him is to call if you're having a problem or have questions.

Funny thing, he emailed them to me right after I bought them. Pretty good instructions. But like with any you need to take your time and think thru your next move. For me I just gutted the inside and started there. Each piece of insulation is marked and that helps. So many different settups (years, styles, etcc..) a little extra insulation sent with it makes up any gaps, most were my fault from taping one area down before putting thenext piece in. All and all a great kit ms the price I'd awesome compared to dhnomat

Did you tape everything or glue? I think foil tape is the way to go. I have the kit in my garage now all i need is the motivation.
