There was a vendor on here that sold the removable plate brackets for the front. I remember some of the guys from Gate city had them on their cars and removed them for shows. Anyone know who the vendor is? I forgot and need to get in touch with them.
Thanks,

Anyone want to chime in on what these plates do to the air intake. It looks like about 30% of the intake space at the front grill. I live in Texas and know it's the law. I got pulled over by a dps trooper aka... hypo... leo. got off with a warning but sure dont want a 30% reduction in intake air. I will test the coolant temp once I get a plate put on.
Surprisingly, I did not notice a difference in temperature. I believe this issue has been addressed on a different thread. The concensus appeared to be very little to no difference in temperature change (if I remember correctly)....

I haven't noticed any temp problems w/ plate on.
Also air flows from under front end..via front air scoop

Covering 30% of the inlet area does not mean a 30% reduction in air that flows in - quite simply the air just "bends" around the obstruction. Also, your Vette gets most of its cooling air from the air dam under the nose. The actual reduction is very minimal if at all....
