Default Reprogram Keyfob #1?

My #1 keyfob was replaced due to defect, Keyfob #2 was not present when they replaced it... both keyfobs work to start the car, but now #1 says "options unavailable" when I press options on the DIC so it must have gotten set to #3.

How can *I* start over and program #1/#2 myself in my garage, I searched and found some references that it's possible, but you have to let it "count down for 30 minutes" until it will take fob #1... what is the procedure to start from scratch?

The proceedure is in the owners manual, and you do have to do the count down - makes it harder for miscreants to steal the car. You can go to the dealer and have the dealer do it with a Tech-II

the procedure to START FROM SCRATCH is in the owners manual? i'd rather wait the half hour at home than be frustrated at the dealer for an hour lol

I did the long method when I changed to the 08 up fobs. I still need to install my new locks yet though, been putting it off.
It is easy to do, the long reprogram.
