I have a 2006 convertible, and I would like to remove the center consule, the one that surrounds the radio, temp controls and shifter.
I can find any screws on the outside, so I'm not sure exactly how it is fasten down. Could it be those pop in pins, like a door panel? I certainly don't want to tear anything up, trying to get it out. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks
There is so much info on here now on this, complete with how-to pics. Do a search and you'll be an expert at the end of the day. Getting ready to do mine also, as soon as I get it this coming week (with the MGW shifter).
2 screws inside the console next to accesorry power, 2 under the e-brake boot. Clips hold the rest in.
The hardest part is getting all the wires unplugged, usually the lighter is the hardest. Pretty easy to do
Once you remove the screws pull up from the bottom and the clips will pop out.
Look at talon90's page he has a tutorial I believe David
