Default I Hate Posting Here !

I used to post here about 1 or 2 times a day, not only in General, but either in Drag Racing, or the Performance section... but since Nov 3rd when I tried to avoid a deer, and hit a rock ($5600 damage) the car has been at the body shop... after a good going over, it needs a right front wheel & tire, right fender (has a small crack) and the rocker panel...

I usually race the car on weekends (Drag) and this past Sat. was closing day, I told the body shop.. "Take your time" but Make it RIGHT"

I have the utmost confidence in the shop, but daymmmm I am starting to get cabin fever, as I usually drive my car even in the winter if the roads are dry & clean...

Hell its only been 3 weeks, & I have only been on line here 3 or 4 times, it sure is depressing as hell not having the Vette in the garage

Shezzzz even if I couldn't take it out because of the weather I would be able to fool around with it.. odds & ends.. but the empty garage is sooooo depressing

I AM making a lot of brownie points with the wife though... I'm letting her keep her Audi in the garage until I get the Vette back....

Just thought I'd vent a little... it SUCKS not having the car ....

My Corvette was three months old when it was hit by a young female (my car was parked). She was "reaching for her skateboard", which is very important when driving. My car spent two months in the shop while I drove a Corolla. Even women that drive Corollas don't want anything to do with a guy in a Corolla. I know your pain.

At least you get them brownie points. I have to be honest after reading your post thats the only upside I could find.

Hope you get it back soon. And more importantly I hope your completely satisfied with the work. Good luck.

Well...at least the driving season is over and you have the progress of the Vette to look forward to. Maybe now is the time to start looking for some parts/mods, it'll make the waiting time go by faster.

Just be glad it's not May...good luck with the work

Jpee, sorry to hear. I've hit many deer but always in the Peterbilt, usually ending in a replacement front bumper needed. Would not be fun in the Vette or motorcycle.

Last time I drove thru NY State on my way to Canada I counted 6 deers on the road, one fellow was picking on up that got hit by a truck.
I guess is a hazard up north.
