Sorry - can't help you - I only know the manual. Did you check the owner's manual?

no, there is a post on the forum for a trans fluid change on the z06.. Mine is different. There is a rubber boot on the front of the trans. Just wondering how to tell when full.

To check the fluid level in an auto( A6) is a very tedious and drawn out proceedure. It is spelled out in the repair manuals but I don't have a copy here to show you. Sorry. The fill plug is on the passenger side of the trans and is a rubber insert. It is fairly hard to see and to get out. You might do a search and see if someone has posted the procedure.

This might be more than you wanted to know but it's good info:

And a little filling trick from Chuck CoW:

thanks for the reply. I can't find a drain or fill plug on either side. I drained the fluid from the trans pan, changed the filter and gasket, but can find no fill location.
