The V1 and the Remote Display both use the same type of 4-pin RJ11 connector (telephone) but the + and - 12V pins are reversed on the Remote.

The Remote Display came with an 8' cable that I used/modified to run between the the two units and I just spliced into the middle of the cable with another piece of wire with Invisicord Pins on the end.

Invisicord will make you a similar cable and sells just the pins.

I also changed the RJ11 connector at the Remote end to one that allowed the cable to be bent at a 90 degree angle. The stock one has a short boot that makes that more difficult.

My ultimate goal was not to hide the V1 but to put the Display someplace that was easy to reach and more likely to be noticed while I'm driving.

YMMV

I like my setup best:

The remote was a find on eBay. Search 'Thin Valentine Remote'

It came with a separate remote mute switch that I mounted on the back of my turn indicator:

The V1 itself is mounted on the passenger visor using the visor mount it came with:

The unit is wired to the fuse panel under the passenger floorboards:

Thanks for all the help. I wish to thank Chris (Profile cclive's) because I used his design to finish my install. (You can see Chris's Radar Mount w/pics, diagram).

This is how mine turned out.

I used Chris's design and made just a few changes because it was fun. Not that his wouldn't work. I added a couple of spot welds in the final bend to make it stout. I also added some carpet tape (see image).

Visor still works but may lose some of my rear detection. I don't remember using the visor that much anyway. I like the way the V1 sits up high.

I think this location is still the best place to install the concealed display (for now anyway).

Always keeping an eye open for improvements.

For me, the Great Lakes Mirror Mount was the way that worked 4 me.

That looks good!

Here is a shot from head on. It's hard to see the V1 in this installation location (to the right of mirror). Along with the Concealed Display you are in stealth mode

Have a great one.

Well .. I need to come up with a better place for the cancelled display.

On the steering wheel, I can't see the digital read out behind the display. I don't know how I missed that??

I told my wife that I was going to cut a hole in the dash to fit the display ... she just looked at me and said "you're not serious"? Then she punched me and said stop pulling my chain.
