Thanks

Yes. The Supercar tires are softer for better handling with the Z51 suspension. They wear faster the the non Z51 tires

Tried the "base" tires on my Z-51 equipped Vert one time at an auto-cross... Changed back to the Supercar tires the next day..

So your saying the Supercar tires on the Z51 perform worse then Firestone or Nitto on the track?
My car brochure claims a .98 skidpad using Supercar tires with Z51.
Can you backup the claim that Firestone or Nitto perform better?
And I'm not referring to road noise.

Don't believe everything you read in a " CAR BROCHURE "
No, I can't personaly back this up. But 90% of the folks on this forum hate Goodyears!
Maybe you should start a new tread like ( Goodyear, Firestone, or Nitto, what is the best tire) Then you will get some feedback!

Nitto NT-01 will blow away the GY Supercar tires at the track. It would be night and day comparision.

When I looked last summer, the guys who were winning street tire autocrosses around here seemed to all be running Michelins or Supercars.

The Supercar tires are a summer tire and is difficult to get any form of traction when the temps drop below mid fifties. Okay if you store the car during the winter months.

The supercar tires, or the base tires are not cold weather tires. Do not punch it when it is below 50 or so. You'll end up going sideways. Lesson learned.
