As a very new C6 owner, I would like to double check if it is OK to jack one corner of the car at a time using pucks (and my low profile race jack) at the hoist point to remove a wheel (I need to clean the back side of the wheels) or if you have to jack as per the handbook? ie. jack under the suspension housing as shown for the front and rear.
I am not sure if the four corner points on the under-tray are for a "four point lift " only on a hydraulic hoist.
When I had a tire repaired, they jacked up the one corner and insisted on opening the doors and the hood because older Corvettes had alot of flex in the chassis. So I let them do it, but then checked once it was up and nothing had flexed at all. The doors closed and all the lines between panels were absolutely straight etc. The C6 has a very stiff frame and jacking up one corner is fine.
Absolutely fine to do what you are suggesting. Fair warning - some on this forum have made jacking one of these cars up into a science with special adapters for jacks, etc. That's fine - it's also overkill. Just be careful with your jack pad/puck interface so the car doesn't "slide" off the jack and to make certain you aren't contacting the rocker panel ('cuz they do crack).
When I jack the front corner (with a jack pad) the rear tire will come off the ground also. This was with a 05 C6 Z51. My 08 Z06 does not quite lift the rear when the front is jacked. No problem with doors, hood, or hatch. Cheers - Jim

The chassis is absolutely bullet-proof. No worries at all to jack it at one of the puck points. Perfectly fine for the C6 and C5. I can't say anything about the C4 and prior however.
