I didn't read every post in this thread in detail, but did skim them all - so sorry if this has already been suggested;
I had a problem with my 08 Z06 going longer than about 3 days without a dead battery. Tracked the problem to the Mild-to-Wild switch, if I shut down the car with the exhaust in the Mild position (default), the battery would drain. This issue is talked about in the Mild-to-Wild instructions. I went to the no-drain Mild-to-Wild wiring setup (car now defaults to Wild) and have had no problem. I can go for about 10 days without a dead battery. I'm sure that the OEM battery is about shot due to many full drains.
I will be going with an Odyssey or Optima Red Top and expect no further problems.
Something to check if you have an NPP exhaust and are using a Mild-to-Wild switch.
Not true that "all have this problem". Mine regularly sits for 2 weeks at a time with absolutely no battery drain problem. Plus I additionally sit in it sometimes and just listen to the radio. No drain problem. And it starts just fine every time. You need a new battery is my guess.
I did have a bad battery at time of purchase. Thinking it was the dreaded DBS I bought tender. Didn't help.
Dealer installed new battery almost 2 years ago to the day no problems since, with one exception.
Left car not in "Park" overnight in garage while cleaning interior. Dead as a mackerel next AM. Only required a charge and it was good to go.

My 08Z can easily go for 10 days without starting. Had a dead battery a couple of times after I first got the car but found the problem with the rear view mirror light and also found out you need to be careful with the ignition switch. I accidentally left the car in the on position and that quickly drained the battery. Wouldn't have happened if I had to pull a key out of a lock.
I had the same problem and the dealership told me the same thing about all the computer crap. They couldn't find anything wrong. Mine only has 1800 miles on it.
Long story short - I purchased a CTEK Battery Charger and keep it connected when I am not driving it.
The package comes with permanent terminals and battery clamps. I put the terminals on, so alls I have to do is plug it up each time. Takes about 30 seconds to open hood, plug in and I'm done!
My problem is a bit different. When I try to start my 05 vette, I put my foot on the break and I hear a chattering sound for about 5 seconds in the center console. I hear it again when I turn it off. Any idea what it causing the chattering?
Like with old cars, to find a drain, we used an amp meter. If interior lights were on you could see a 2 amp drain... trunk light a 1 amp drain... Does anybody what the "Normal" amp drain of a Corvette is? My guess is like a 1/8 amp or less. I know a 1/4 of an amp can kill a battery in 3 or 4 days.
If it is way higer, you can pull fuses till it drops, that give a clue, that is how they can find a seat heater stuck on.
