Ok so I start my car today adn my Navigation screen is blank. I can hear the radio but I can,t see anything nor will the nav come on. It's a 06 ZO6 and I don't drive it often but the only thing that has been done since it last worked was I washed it but nothing unusual there. Any ideas, suggestions? Has this happen to anyone else?
Pull the fuse for the nav, wait about 30 seconds or more, then plug it back in. Restart the car. This will force the nav to reboot. Not sure it'll fix it, but this has worked for others.
There was another post just like this earlier on in the week - try doing a search for that one. I think the solution was just to shut the car off and try again later - something about the slow response times of an lcd display when it gets real cold out.

This has happened to me 3 times on my 08 in the 13 months I've owned it. Each time it has happened it was after an extended time (6+ weeks) since last starting the car. Each time I was able to get the NAV to come on and work corrently by turning the car off and restarting. Usually it required driving the car about 10 minutes (warm up?) then turning it off and back on.
I spoke to the local dealer about it, although the NAV was working when I spoke to him, and he said to leave it with him and they would remove it and send to the manufacture, who he said was local, and get it repaired. Now that I've determined the "fix", I haven't taken it in for repairs. When I use the car often, it always works...go figure.
This happened twice in one day on our 2006 when it had about 10k miles. Never happened again, sold the car at 44k miles.
It's just a computer on wheels.
