Hmm. Well, I sent those questions over to Revolution yesterday regarding the Oro-tek sensors, so I'll let you guys know what they come back with regarding - 1. whether they say the sensors are in "sleep mode" when manufactured and 2. whether they are transmitting when the car is parked .... and will also be sure to ask them what they define as "sleep mode".

The manufacturer of the sensors has confirmed two key pieces of information that I think will help clarify this a bit.
1 - there is no transmission until installed.
2 - once the sensor is installed, the sensor transmits every hour when the vehicle is parked.
So ... it appears that as you might expect, all the experts were right.
