I'm looking for pics of OPEN trailers you use to haul your C6. Specifically, dove tail trailers and the ramps used.
Looking for info on what type of mods you had to do to your trailer to get your C6 on and off without issue.
ALSO- if your 'Vette is lowered or not. Mine is.
I use a tilt down trailer. No modifications necessary although I do place a short section of 2 x 12 just in front of the wheels when loadiing and unloading because the car is lowered and it can scrape the air damn (which happens on driveways anyways). This type of trailer is nice also because it eliminates issues of getting in and out of the car once it's loaded. With fixed platform trailers, once you drive up the ramps, the trailer fender usually inhibits opening the car door to get in and out. Before the tilt trailer I got a window vallet so I could climb in and out of the window and then close it with the vallet. it worked but I hated climbing in and out that way. Some guys with the fixed platform trailers mount full length 2 x 12 boards to the base of trailer. That way they load the car on the boards, rather than the trailer deck, and it is usually enough to allow opening the door.

I'm using a fairly cheap gooseneck trailer with light 67 inch extension ramps from RaceRamps. My car is lowered and has a very low rear diffuser (as you can see in the last pic), but it works like a charm.
