The tips are 3 1/2 inches versus the stock tips which are 2 1/2 inches. veav626 is correct in that the pipes are 2 1/2 inches in both the stock and NPP systems. The larger tips are awesome looking and fill out the back valance nicely.

If you are thinking about having an NPP exhaust installed on your vette, I say go for it you will love it. You should also get the mild2wild controller.

If I'm not mistaken the pipes on 2009 & 2010 NPP are larger. 3 inches
2008 NPP were 2.5 inches

I'm not sure that is correct, it's possible but I'd like someone to confirm.

The exhaust inlets for the standard muffler and NPP are both 2.5 inches; however, the standard muffler has only one outlet which is split into 2 and the NPP muffler has 2 separate outlets. As a result it flows better. Also starting in 2009 the muffler pipe that goes up and over the axle is bent slightly different due to a differential cradle upgrade in the 2009 model and newer. As a result you would want the newer X pipe to with it.

Also, my 08 NPP exhaust tips measure 3.5 inches in diameter.

The big difference between NPP and standard mufflers is the muffler oulet(s). The standard muffler has ONE less than 2.0" outlet that Y's into two tips, the NPP muffler has TWO outlets, the inside @ 2.4xx" and the outside @ 2.1xx". More than twice the flow available from the NPP.

The 4 Tips on NPP are 3.5 inches each... which is the same size as ZO6 Bi-Mode.
If by pipes you mean the 3" supply side on ZO6, that narrow down to 2.5" before the muffler , instead of the 2.5" on NPP... yes.

Also... the NPP, has a Solid pass through pipe INSIDE the muffler, instead of the Preferated pass through on the ZO6, so the sound does not get muffled.

Happy Holidays!
