I can't believe this photo. A ZR1 driven in the snow on a freeway.
THIS FOOL HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE CAR! This sez nothing about the chance he is taking having somebody slide into him or sliding into someone else or not being able to stop in time to avoid a serious accident. These cars are not snow machines, low ground clearance, big horsepower and hard to see by others. Sorry for the rant. If that was my $100+ ZR-1 it would never see rain much less snow.

could it possibly be a test mule? those look like Mich. tags.. and ...like all supercars, the manufactures drive them in all conditions for data on how they do.

Actually, a Corvette with anti slip and active handling will perform well on snow and ice. I remember getting a tape or DVD with one of my Corvettes some years ago (may have been the '98) that had a demonstration of ice and snow driving with and without the electronic nannies. With the nannies off the Corvette was all over the place but, with it on the car performed perfectly and remained under control.
Even considering this, it is difficult to justify the risk that this ZR-1 driver is taking. I can only assume that this person has enough money and or insurance that the loss of a $100K Corvette doesn't bother him.
On the other hand, he might be just a simple fool
Anyone with snow pics today? We dodged a bullet here in the Raleigh, NC area. No snow, just rain all night and this morning. Can still use vette. Tomorrow sunny and 45 degrees.
We got 6" north side of Greensboro
The vette will stay in the garage for at least a week

My guess is that the owner has a lot of coin and is a fool.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
