Default root antenna

How much of a problem is it to convert my C-6 05 xm satellite antenna, like the C-6, 06 and above hided antenna. Thanks for any advice.

You will need to buy the new side mirrors that contain the anteannas and either find the correct color for your car or have them painted. You will also need to remove the '05 antenna and deal with the holes that are left behind or replace the halo part and have it painted. You will also need to deal with routing the wiring to the new antennas from the old antenna location on the roof. Frankly, a lot of cost and a lot of work for what will amount to a minor cosmetic change.

The wart on the C6 Vert is an eyesore, but as described above, the upgrade to the '06+ version is a PITA.

You could relocate your OEM antenna into the trunk area and then you are left with 'just' patching/painting the holes.

Reception may not be quite as good, but many Forum Members have reported locating aftermarket antennas inside the car with good results.
