Default Alternate 12V dc Source

Any ideas on a quick 12V dc source I can use for troubleshooting my seats? I really don't want to use a car battery as there's no way to turn it off.

Can't answer you question but.....if your driver's seat quit working an easy troubleshoot is to check the connectors under the seat. It's very common for them to work loose or even come apart with all the seat movement. Just sayin'. Good luck.

I use an older Craftsman battery charger that has manual setting. Makes a great 12V source and if you overload/short something the circuit breaker trips and is resetable.
Are you installing 3LT seats in a 1LT car?
Be careful not to activate the airbags!

The trickle charger I have won't act as a power source unless it sees a battery connected to it. Technology can be too smart sometimes. The air bag modules have been removed from the seats, so that shouldn't be an issue. I checked all the connectors, put power to the motors directly and they work in all directions (used my wife's battery). Can't figure why they won't work. Tried a known good switch, also

So you're putting 3LT seats in a 1LT?
