I drive my 2005 once a week or start it up if I don't drive it and luckily I have not had to use a battery tender and have no problems with battery.
Is it ok to have tender hooked up to battery and battery is still connected to car?

I had to replace the one in my '05 after 4+ years and went with an AC Delco. Keep a trickle charger on it when not in use and no problem.

Couldn't find an OEM, an Optima or a Diehard today and I needed a battery.

Went with a Duralast from Auto Zone - three year 100% warranty. Will give it a try. Got 5 years from the original with quite a few recharges.

If it lasted this long it's good like the original factory I am still using with no battery tender and never charged but driven at least once a week. Hopefully the new batteries made today are as good or better than their original counter part from 2005.

The East/Penn manufacturing facility isn't far from me. I'm picking up a Deka in the next week or so, straight from the manufacturer.
