I suggest that you do a serach under wide body and you will get a lot more info from a whole bunch of other threads. Here's mine http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...ject-with.html
There are two vendors that sell GM parts here and I believe that they have a direct bolt on rear quarter kit for your car

There are a couple of vendors here that make Z-06/ZR-1/GS rear quarter panels for convertibles. The GM quarters are for coupes and will not fit convertibles without some modification. As for the front fenders, the GM fenders will bolt right on providing you also change the nose cover to the Z-06/ZR-1/GS nose (all wide body nose covers are the same). There are also some vendors here that make ZR-1 fenders for a std. nosed C-6. I am not aware of anyone making Z-06 or GS front fenders for a standard nose C-6 at this time.
Use the search function for wide body conversion. That should give you lots of information on the subject. I'm sure anyone who has additional information on the subject will chime in here.

Where does GM get the quarters for the GS Convertible? Wouldn't they (GM GS Quarters) fit my '06?
Now that GM has created the GS, modifying coupe rear fenders to fit a convertible is no longer necessary.

SWEEEET . . . Thanks Guys. I now have a plan since I can't get VR anymore. Thought I'd just buy what I wanted but Torch Red . . . Did that and it was fine for my first Vette but never again.
Were you hoping to buy painted fenders? OEM panels will come unpainted. You can buy painted panels but you are better off having it done locally where you can accept/reject the results.
Paint match is a completely different conversation, fortunately VR is a relatively easy color to match and if the shop is good, you should not have to blend the paint into the surrounding panels.
Want to do a widebody on my '06 Roadster. Will the GS quarters and ZR1 front fenders and facial bolt straight on? Mostly concerned with the quarters.
Short answer is yes. Your only issue is the gap between the inner fenders in the front and the front quarters. The inner fender is bonded and hard to replace. Most don't. The Rear GS quarters bolt right up with replacement GS inner fenders. My quarters predate the GS and are from Caravaggio. The inner fenders are OEM Z06. Unless you just like the ZR1 look, the GS front quarters are about 1/2 the cost of the ZR1 CF quarters.

Going local for more control and better quality!! Thanks!

Good point about the CF ZR1 Fenders . . . thanks for the reminder!

So what is everyone doing to address the 1 inch gap created when converting if they are not removing the glued wheelhouse? I am considering converting my 08 A6 to a wide body.

GS parts are probably the cheapest and most oem way to go...They are all bolt on...Rear quarters will fit perfect on your vert...Check with Gene Culley he already did the leg work and has it packaged I believe... Good luck.
