Default Heads Up Display Sale!!! - Price Decrease - www.PartsTaxi.com

This has become a very popular upgrade for alot of C6 owners. There are quite a few threads on here about installation, use, etc. These are plug and play, prices are lower then ever, and I have 12 kits in stock .

HUD Display - 15934351 - $225.98 NEW LOWER PRICE!!!!!
HUD Switch - 20844868 - $30.72
HUD Bezel - 19121990 - $20.04
You will need a custom harness for this application. There is a forum member here who sells them for around $75 I believe.

Thanks
Kevin

From what I have read, the general agreement is no. It's not quite as sharp as with the HUD specific windshield but there are benefits as well. I read a post where the HUD windshield although clearer showed wear like sandblasting after time. Has something to do with the HUD coating. Who knows. I'll have my HUD and harness on Friday. Will let you know how the install goes. Am going the "cut the duct' route.

BTW, you car looks awesome. Best finish on the site.

This is a common mis-conception. I have added a HUD in two cars I have owned. A 99 Grand Prix GTP and a 99 C5. They both looked no different than ones that came with the "special" windshield.

Kevin:

Thanks for the quick delivery but I do have a question. There are no screws or bolts with the parts. Can you tell me what I need to get? I'd like to have everything ready to go when I go to install them.

Dodn't the factory install a special windshield that promotes the HUD projection better?

The HUD coating in sandwitched in the glass and not on the surface.

Per page 33 of the instructions, two 6 mm nuts are needed to secure the projector. You can pick them up a Lowes or Home Depot. The switch uses the existing screws from the blank that's mounted where the control switch is to be mounted.
