I sick of the rocks and bugs hitting the C6 nose. I like the look of black on MSM, so I'm sold on a black bra. However, I've found products that vary in the areas of:
* easy on/off
* following rain, is/isn't necessary to remove
* air intake mesh is/isn't part of design
An experiences which would help me decide? Thanks gang.
I have the GM bra and it fits very well, but is a bit of a pain to install/remove. I had a Colgan bra for a GTO that seemed to be a little better quality bra and was a little easier to install and remove than the GM model for the Vette.
I have the GM bra and it fits very well, but is a bit of a pain to install/remove...
And it's only about $100. And it's thick & padded -- great protection against rocks.
I had one installed on Day 1. But I wash my car every week or so during the summer. And I never liked driving with the bra in the rain. Where do you hang it dry? How do you clean a dirty one? Too much hassle.
And I worried about long-term issues like trapped grit under the bra damaging the paint.
After considering all the pros & cons, I finally decided to get a clear bra. More expensive than even the high-end Speed lingerie bra. But after a year I'm still very pleased with my clear bra. No regrets.
I have the Colgan Custom 1-piece bra that I only use when I go on trips. Vinyl on the outside, felt on the inside, relatively easy to put on with no special tools, and after travelling over 3,300 miles it never even came loose, a lot of hooks and stuff to keep it tight and from flapping.....I'm pretty happy with it.
I have a Colgan and a brand new GM that I put on just to test fit . . . I also have a billet grill that compounds the problem and I'd say they're each a PIA to equal proportions.
I'm gonna keep the Colgan because I like the carbon fiber sorta look - -
People rave about the clear film, but I frankly can't iamgine that it protects to the same degree as the padded vinyl.
