Default C6 Sensor or what on top of dash????

I have looked in the manual and still can't figue out what that thing is in the middle of the dash above the a/c vents. At first I thought it was the alarm light that flashes when the alarm is activated. What ever it is, it never lights up.... I am sure it is something obvious that will make me look stupid though. OK, fire away.

If you mean the little dome-shaped thing in front of the center speaker, it's a light sensor for auto headlights/DRL's/etc.

When you have time, read your Owners Manual, there are a lot of gadgets in the car.

There is also a solar sensor located on top of the dash, part of the auto HVAC system.

That little thing on your dash is used to automatically initiate your vette's plutonium fueled nuclear reactor which in turn generates the 1.2 gigawats of power necessary to turn on your headlights.

You must reach 88 miles an hour Marty !

Default Thanks--- Why no idiot flashing alarm

Thanks for the replys. And I did look in my manual but didnt find anything on it. Whay dont they put some kind of flashing light to make it look like the car has a alarm . That would be for the dumb crooks, not the pros,,,

It's the mag flux capacitor recharge port, but will only work if you install gull wing doors.

I'd like to know what the small vent on the right side of the lower drivers' knee bolster is.
I took it out and there's nothing there. I thought it might be for the climate control sensor, but that's in the upper part next to the IGN button.

I took it out, built an in-dash exhaust controller, and put the switch in that hole.

I believe that's what the blinking red light is on the inside top of the driver's door panel.

It actually houses two sensors, one for the headlights and the second for the sun load on the HVAC.

It's the microphone for the Radio's Auto Volume/Auto EQ system.

BOSE uses this, I don't know if the base radio does.

Apparently, it does not. I have the base radio and there was absolutely nothing behind that little vent. It now has the switch to an exhaust controller I built. I like it much better than that empty vent
