Well my search for a Grand Sport has finally ended. I picked up this 1 owner 2011 2LT with 25K miles today. I've been looking for an automatic with paddle shift, since my other 2 Vettes are both manuals and high HP. Just wanted a nice, low milage Vette. Picked it up from Auto Lenders in NJ at a great price. They had it listed for $36,500 & I got it for $31,500 out the door. I bring her home tomorrow. Can't wait to start modding!

I had found a red GS within about 50 miles on the odometer at a Chevy dealer that was listed for $32400 & a grey GS with 30K miles for $30300 at an independent dealer about 150 miles away, so I went to them with info on both and told them if they made it more reasonable I'd buy today. They called the VP of the company & I got the great deal! They also have a lifetime warranty on the engine as long as I have records of oil changes every 4K miles, besides the 6 month/6K miles. I guess it really does pay to shop at the end of the month.

I sold my 650+rwhp Chevy SS Sedan in November and bought my one owner, 2012 Centennial Edition GS a few weeks later at a Mercedes dealer in Delray Beach, FL. The previous owner really took care of the car. I can tell that they had the paint corrected and had a coating applied because the paint is incredible! Anyway, I've been hording performance parts for it and today I finally dropped it off at the shop to have an ECS supercharger, A&A secondary drive, Texas Speed headers, and e85 fuel system installed. It's going to be nice being back in a supercharged LS3 again!

When I was 20, I bought a used C5 and owned it for 6 years. I was starting a family so I sold it and bought a Tahoe. I really loved my Corvette and missed it. So when the SS was released, I though it was the best of both worlds, a Corvette with a back seat! I sold the Hoe and bought the SS. It was my only car and I needed a backseat for my kid. After two years I was able to pick up a truck to use as a daily/family hauler. And after owning the truck and SS for a while, I realized I could get back into a Corvette. So I was between getting a new C7 with no mod money left over or a C6 with mod money left over. Chose the tried and true LS3 over the new LT1, plus the C6 body is still my favorite generation.
But the SS was an incredible car that did everything well. You could tell it was something special.

Gotcha. I was just curious since I've been asked the same thing about why I traded my C6 GS (it was a centennial, too!) for the SS! I'd actually like to pickup a truck or full-size SUV for a spare vehicle or maybe to replace the wife's SRX.

Dang! That looks really good. Can i get the specs on those wheels/tires. Haven't seen that type on a C6.
