Get in, close door, start car, pull up on the window switches to raise the windows all the way up and HOLD the buttons up for 3 seconds after they reach the top. Release the buttons, pull up and HOLD again for 3 more seconds. Done.

And you'll have to do it again every time the battery is reconnected after a disconnect.

This is called resetting of the window indexing or power window initialize and is in the owner's manual. See page 2-17 of the 2005 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2006 owner’s manual, page 87 of the 2007 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2008 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2009 owner's manual, or page 3-18 of the 2010 owner's manual.

Sounds like a defective switch on the passenger door.

Yep. Even if your ride is out of warranty, this is an easy/cheap fix.

You must have disconnected the battery or had it die recently...the re-indexing must be done after a loss of battery power.

Isn't it amazing what you can find in the owner's manual?

Yes, but there's so much in the manual that when new to the C6 folks have a significant problem, they get anxious for a quick answer.

When possible, I usually post the location in the owner's manual in case the owner needs more information. Since I do also usually post the solution, I hope none of them take my reference to the manual the wrong way.

You're a good person Jim. This forum has been a big help to me, especially from members like you. I have been called a little to caustic on more than one occassion. Just ask my wife. o

The owner's manual was well written but it seems people just want the info quick and don't even think to look in the manual. Another thing people don't try is the search engine that is part of the forum.
